We are excited to be able to present at this years WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference happening in April this year. Jointly hosted by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network, and Te Ohu Rata o Aotearoa - Māori Medical Practitioners Association, the WONCA APR Conference 2020 will combine the strengths of all three organisations' annual conferences, making it one of the leading health conferences in New Zealand. This event will replace the College, Network and Te ORA conferences in 2020.
The theme will be: Family Medicine leading the way towards an advanced world of equity, quality and compassion. The essence of this theme is captured in the Māori whakataukī (proverb): Ko te pae tawhiti whāia kia tata, ko te pae tata whakamaua kia tina - which translates to Seek distant horizons in pursuit of excellence.
We will be presenting alongside our Pacific colleagues for a workshop and also presenting the journey of our telehealth in NZ and how it aims to reduce inequity in our people. We thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to build our network and presence here in Aotearoa.
