The New Year is a time to reflect on the changes we want or need to make...what will be your New Year resolutions?
Scientists have suggested that, with a little willpower, it takes roughly 30 days for a person to form a new habit. As with mastering anything new, the act of starting and getting beyond the preliminary stage where everything feels awkward is 80% of the battle. This is precisely why it’s important to make small, positive changes every day over the course of at least a 30 day period.
It’s like the old saying: “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” The same philosophy holds true for making changes in your life. Trying to bite off more than you can chew will only make you choke. But taking smaller, manageable bites, one at a time – eating a little healthier, exercising a little, creating some simple productive habits, for example – is an amazing way to make positive changes and get excited about life.
So when making your resolutions this year, remember the small stepping stones to achieve your goal!

I love laughing. I am very lucky to be surrounded by people that make me laugh. They are after all, mostly idiots. But in my book, some idiots are pretty cool people.
I read somewhere that the body releases chemicals when you get that laughter from the pit of your stomach and I genuinely believe you can feel it too. I love that feeling when you are laughing so hard you have to wipe tears from the corner of your eyes.
I have a mate just getting over hip surgery and we were in his room the other night making him laugh so much it hurt him. I really enjoyed that.
Our quote book in all four versions has some great one liners from some seriously clever people who love humour. Well worth the read.
Of course different things make us laugh from watching some unsuspecting bugger make a fool of themselves, to a well told yarn at a wedding, to staged comedy but the internet is my source and I would recommend watching youtube or similar. Type in a famous comedy movie or TV comedy followed by "blooper" or "Outtakes". Seinfeild Bloopers are my favourite. If you want a pick up then some of these are very very funny.
So, for the festive season here is my advice. Laugh like you aint laughed before.
Enjoy the break, love to all and....stuff the bores, over indulge and enjoy yourselves!

I read a great article and thought it should be shared as we enter 2012...
As Maria Robinson once said, “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Nothing could be closer to the truth. But before you can begin this process of transformation you have to stop doing the things that have been holding you back.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
